30MF Rosan Priest

This is mostly the same retrospective as the Liber Priest review I wrote.

The Priest uses the Silhouette 1 body as most of the others (Archer, Assassin, Knight, Lancer, Swordman) and in fact the exact same purples as the Rosan Knight and the magenta ring parts. It has the Rosan skull face with large round eyes. The Priest is the third 30MF "Job" to be released, after the Knight and Fighter.

Aesthetics:
Compared to the Liber Priest, the main differences lie in the colors, the Silhouette's skull face instead of a mecha face and in particular the full face mask which features a red gem in the middle.

Despite using the exact same armor, the colors lend a more fantasy look to the model, rather than the 1920's art deco vibe of the Liber version. Since Rosan overall has a more coherent color palette, it lends well to sharing armor with other Jobs and Class-Up kits, such as the Enchanter Class-Up meant for the Rosan Wizard.

Just like with the Knights, the Rosan version features red gems instead of blue ones, although you can freely swap these, bearing in mind that the eyes mostly don't swap between Liber and Rosan, due to having different shapes.

Without any upgrades, the Rosan Priest suffers from the same issue as its Liber variant, in that they both have five 3mm holes facing forwards on the legs and groin.

Compatibility:
Unlike the Liber Priest and Knight, the Rosan versions only share silhouettes and ring color, but the armor pieces are actually different colors. The Knight uses dark grey, almost black, armor while the Priest uses dark purple armor with dark pink cloth. You can still match them relatively okay, but it's not as one for one as their 'good guy' opposites.

From its base, you only have the Bishop Class-up with no current information to add a different Class III. As is typical of the non-box Class Up kits, the Bishop requires you to utilize the Priest as its base, while more recent Class Up kits either have a full set or include the pieces that they upgrade. As mentioned, the Enchanter Class-Up fits nicely, except for the chest plate (for some reason they spaced the dual pegs inside differently) and the cape needs a spacer.

Conclusion:
I really like both Priest kits. The Liber version is a very nice generic assisting hero type, while the Rosan version has a lot more character to it and looks like a villain.

The main issue I have with the Liber version is that it leans too hard into the 'caster' type, due to the staff, which is why I prefer equipping it with Knight parts on the legs to cover the leg/feet holes and a flanged mace (the staff head without the crystal on a long hilt) to make a more traditional D&D style cleric, but with the Rosan model the aesthetic fits neatly into the villainous caster role, albeit looking less like a clergyman.
I'm glad I bought two of these in order to customize and experiment with armor combinations.
